Petition to PAK Supreme Court for hanging soon
- Petition has been filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan a few days ago to hang Kulbhushan Jadhav soon. The petition has been filed on behalf of a lawyer Mujamil Ali. The petition states that the Supreme Court should order the government to take immediate action in the matter of Jadhav.
- Pittishar has also requested from the Supreme Court that even if Jadhav's hanging sentence is overturned, he should be ordered to be hanged soon.
What's the matter?
- Pakistan's military court has sentenced Jadhav to death for charges of espionage and anti-national activities. India says that Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran. After retirement from the Indian Navy, he was doing business in Iran.
However, Pakistan claims that Jadhav was arrested from Balochistan on 3 March 2016. Pakistan has accused Jadhav of spreading turbulence and espionage in Balochistan.
